Beaver Dam Challenge with Homeschool Students
May's homeschool conservation lesson was all about beavers. The students worked hard to make their beaver dams waterproof using sticks, pinecones, and rocks. Other activities included making track finders and clay beavers. Thank you Judge Joe Dabulskis for lending us a real beaver pelt and a synthetic beaver tail for us to observe and touch! Thank you Sherman County Prevention for providing some great give-away books to the students. This program was possible with funding from Oregon Community Foundation and Roundhouse Foundation.
