Salmon & Trout Enhancement Program
Sherman County Homeschoolers and school district 4th graders participated in the Salmon & Trout Enhancement Program (STEP) this October. STEP is run every year through the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to teach students about salmon and trout life cycles and conservation. We very much appreciated being able to keep the Homeschool fish tank at the County Courthouse! Both groups of students released their fish into the Burnet pond in Moro. Thank you to Oregon Community Foundation and Roundhouse Foundation for funding this project. Thank you to Sherman County Prevention for helping out with all of the homeschool activities.
